Super Duty® has been engineered from the ground up to be a rugged yet comfortable truck. Ford goes the extra mile to ensure your Super Duty is every bit as tough as the jobs you give it.
Choose the standard 5.4L 3-valve SOHC Triton® V8 with variable cam timing, cast iron block and aluminum heads, 300 peak horsepower, and a hefty 365 lb-ft of torque at 3,750 rpm. Or for bigger jobs, grab the optional 6.8L three-valve SOHC Ford Triton V10 engine with variable cam timing, cast iron block, and aluminum heads (standard on the F-350 DRW Crew Cab) — the most powerful gas-powered engine in a full-size pickup with 362 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque at 3,250 rpm.
For clean diesel power, step up to the 6.4L high-pressure common rail OHV 32-valve Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel (standard on F-450) with cast iron block and heads. With its 6.4L displacement and dual-sequential turbochargers, the Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel cranks out a maximum 350 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. For applications like snow plowing that need low-end muscle, it can produce its peak torque at only 2,000 rpm.
Fold it out, clamp it together, and secure it to the tailgate with the bolt-action latch. This optional 53-cm (21-in.) tall barrier lets you haul with the tailgate down, or secure smaller loads with the tailgate up. Made of rugged fiberglass-filled polypropylene, it resists dents and corrosion and folds conveniently out of the way when not in use.
